We had wanted to do one of their haunted tours, but were in town on the wrong day. It was nice, and intimate, and our guide was knowledgeable and engaging. We started our tour with just two of us, but before leaving the parlour another couple joined us. We enjoyed a few minutes in the front porch rockers, admiring the gardens surrounding the house.

The call was answered by a guide who asked us to wait, and he'd be with us as soo as he'd finished up a tour. This attraction is tucked away at the end of a residential area - hidden behind a gated 'forest.' When we arrived at the door we discovered it was locked, but a sign was posted with a number to call. We played around with the Thermostat all night and then magically it kicks on at 5:30 after I asked her if I should come to the lobby I’ll just sit there and wait for her… I don’t know but I’m awake now at 5:30 and I don’t even think I can go back to sleep. The beds are comfortable but since it was so cold it was hard to even sleep. I was so cold I wanted to drink some hot coffee or some hot water and there’s not a coffee machine, which is good because I hear people pee in them so I didn’t really wanna use it.

I don’t know how to feel about it I’m a little bit mixed. I left right away it was $69 for that room. It is better than days inn just up the road, we were somebody in room 109 came out and started threatening to beat my car unless I give him money. I don’t know how the heater went to 78 all of a sudden unless she has a way to adjust it. Now I’m already struggling all night long to sleep in the freezing cold.

I said give me the name of your manager and all of a sudden about 10 minutes later there’s a knock on the door with some sheets blankets, or very light blankets. I called back at 4:30 and I asked her if it would be easier if I went to the lobby to go get them and she told me she was the only one at the front desk and we weren’t going to get blankets basically. We had asked for blankets and she told me OK I’ll get them that was at 4 AM. I started telling her that I was going to get her name and leave a bad review then magically all of a sudden the heater in our room at 5 AM went to 78°. We woke up freezing and called the front desk and she said she put in a work order.

All night long the temperature was set to 69°.
